Isabella Geriatric Center, Inc. Unpaid Compensation Case
Frank LLP has filed a lawsuit against Isabella Geriatric Center, Inc. ("Isabella") in New York County Supreme Court in Manhattan, on behalf of a former Isabella executive.
The Plaintiff, who worked at Isabella for almost 19 years, alleges that his compensation package included six weeks' vacation and four personal days annually. He was assured that any of this time not used would be accrued and carried over from year to year, so that it could either be used in the future or cashed out on leaving. However, when his employment ended, Isabella refused to pay Plaintiff for his accrued vacation and personal time.
Isabella is a 705-bed residential health care facility in upper Manhattan providing rehabilitation and nursing care. As of a December 21, 2017 news release, Isabella became an affiliated agency of MJHS Health System.
